Start free tonight. Pay only if it earns it.

Tonight's snoring, breathing pauses, and audio are free — forever, no card. Pro adds the referee tools, and there are two ways to pay for it: one-time web passes that never auto-renew, or the usual app-store subscription. Both start with 7 free days.

You'll see these exact prices in the app. No web checkout for this one — the stores insist.

Why the first 7 days are free

I built SomniSense for the version of me from two years ago. That version of me had been burned a few times by trials that quietly auto-renewed at the back of a busy month. So I want to be plain about how this works:

You start a Pro subscription through Apple or Google. The first 7 days are free — every Pro feature unlocked. If you don't want to keep it, you cancel inside those 7 days through the App Store or Google Play settings (two taps), and nothing is charged. Day 8 is the day the platform turns the recurring charge on. Cancel before then, you owe nothing. Cancel after, you're charged the cycle you just used.

The free tier is genuinely free, forever, no purchase required. If a week of hearing what's actually happening at night is enough for you, you can stop right there and the basics stay free.

If it does show you something worth keeping, Pro is $7.99/month or $4.17/month if you go yearly through the stores — or, if you're the kind of person who'd rather pay once and never see a renewal line on a statement, the web passes exist precisely for you. That money funds Resend (the email PDF service), the Cloudflare backend, my late-night code review hours, and the API costs of running inference at scale. There's no investor pressure to "monetize aggressively." We charge what we charge because that's what it costs to keep running.

What you get when you go Pro

A 30-day trend chart in warm tones.

30 / 90-day trends

One night is noise. Thirty nights is signal. The trend tells you whether what you're trying — side-sleep, an anti-snore pillow, less alcohol — is actually working.

Lifestyle factor impact.

Lifestyle Lab™ Factor Impact

After 14 tagged nights, you'll see — for you specifically — which factors moved the needle. Not the average user. You.

PDF report to share with your doctor.

A report you can hand to your doctor

It arrives by email — an 8-page PDF laid out like a sleep-lab printout. Print it, forward it, bring it to your appointment. The format is the same one I bring to my own sleep specialist.

Unlimited audio playback.

Unlimited audio playback

Free gives you 5 audio plays per night. Pro removes that limit because some events you'll want to hear three times before you believe them.

Weekly briefing in your inbox.

Doctor-Ready Cadence™

Every week, a PDF lands in your inbox. A longer one once a month. Print it, forward it, bring it. See sample →

Cancelling is two taps

Subscriptions go through Apple App Store or Google Play, which means I can't make cancelling easier than they already do — and I also can't make it harder than they do. That's a feature.

  • Cancel anytime; Pro features stay on until your billing period ends.
  • Free plan stays free, forever, with no data deletion.
  • No setup fees, no hidden charges, no upsell modals.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple/Google. We support every legitimate request — email us if you have trouble.

Pricing questions I keep getting

Is the audio uploaded anywhere?
No. Inference runs entirely on your phone — the audio never leaves the device unless you explicitly tap "share" on a specific event clip. There's no cloud listener, no server-side ML, no "we may use your data to improve our models" clause. The trade-off: if your phone breaks before sync, that night's data is gone with it. We think that's the right trade-off for sleep audio.
What's the actual difference between the web passes and the app-store subscription?
Same Pro, different billing personality. The web passes are one-time payments — $19.90 covers 3 months and then simply ends (no auto-renewal, nothing to cancel), $89.90 is lifetime. The app-store subscription is the classic kind: cheaper per month ($4.17/mo if annual), renews automatically until you cancel. Pick by how you like to pay; the app works identically either way, and they don't stack.
I bought a web pass — how does the app know?
Sign in to the app with the same email you used at checkout. Pro turns on by itself — no code, nothing to redeem.
Will I be charged during the 7-day trial?
No, on either path. Web passes: one charge on day 8, and a reminder email on day 5 first. App store: Apple/Google may show a $0 authorization at sign-up, and the charge lands after day 7 unless you cancel.
How do I cancel?
Web pass: the billing portal link is in every email we send — two clicks. (After the one payment there's nothing left to cancel; it ends on its own.) App store: iPhone Settings → Subscriptions → SomniSense → Cancel, or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Cancel.
Can I switch from monthly to annual?
Yes, anytime, through the App Store / Google Play subscription panel. You will be prorated.
Do you offer refunds?
Web passes: 14 days (pass) / 30 days (lifetime), no interrogation. App store: refunds are processed by Apple/Google — we support every legitimate request, email us if you have trouble.
Is there a family plan?
Not yet. Each person runs their own SomniSense on their own phone. (We hear this question a lot. It's on the list.)

If this still feels like the right thing to try

Start free — tonight's data costs nothing and never will. If Pro earns its keep during the 7 free days, pay for it whichever way suits how you think about money: a one-time pass on this site, or a subscription in the app. That's the whole pricing model.
